Redmi 9A with 5000mAh battery launched, price starts at Rs

NEW DELHI: Xaiomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched its latest A-series smartphone in India. Dubbed Redmi 9A, the smartphone is the successor to the Redmi 8A. The smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery and falls under the sub 10K price bracket.
Price and availability
Redmi 9A comes in two variants 2GB RAM priced at Rs 6,999 and 3GB RAM priced at Rs 7,499. The smartphone comes in —– colour options and will go on sale starting September 4.
Customers can purchase the handset from Amazon India, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. At this price point, the smartphone will face competition from the recently launched Realme C12.
Redmi 9A specifications
The Redmi 9A comes with P2i coating which makes the device splash proof. It features a 6.53-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM.
Redmi 9A comes with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own MIUI 11.
Coming to the camera, the Redmi 9A sports a single-lens 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 lens. The front is home to a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
Along with the Redmi 9A, the company has also launched Redmi earphones in the country. The wired earphones from Redmi comes with a price tag of Rs 399. The Redmi earphones will go on sale on September 7. The customers can purchase the earphones from Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com and all the authorised retail stores in the country.
