Philips unveils new range of LED Smart TV’s, price starts at

NEW DELHI: Philips has expanded its TV lineup with the launch of a new range of LED Smart TVs in India. The company has launched two 4K HDR TVs in the country. The TVs come in two screen sizes 50-inch with model number 50PUT6604 and 58-inch with model number 58PUT6604. The company has priced the 50-inch variant for Rs 1,05,990, while the 58-inch variant cost Rs 1,19,990.
The TVs are available on all leading offline channels and on online channels through Amazon and Flipkart.
Both the TVs come with 4K HDR and Dolby Vision support. The TVs run on the company’s own SAPHI UI and it offers access to smart TV apps which include YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime, and more. The TVs come with a borderless design and Dolby Vision claims to transform the TV viewing experience.
Commenting the at the launch, Shailesh Prabhu, Country Head, TPV Technology India Pvt. Ltd. said “A new Philips TV is always designed to match the lifestyle and taste of those discerning individuals who are looking for a unique viewing experience. With a borderless narrow profile and features like Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, this range is aimed at delivering better picture quality and incredible surround sound to make the content look and sound gloriously real. Consumers will now be able to experience powerful audio and enjoy a sharper picture with superior depth, contrast, natural motion and vivid details.”
Recently, Philips’s rival Samsung also launched its new range of TVs in the country. The company launched 10 smart TV models that will be available for purchase starting June 19. Early bird consumers doing pre-paid transactions in the first 48 hours of the sale on Flipkart for The Frame and online Smart TVs, using their credit cards and debit cards will get an additional instant cashback of up to Rs 1,500. Amazon consumers will get instant cashback up to Rs 1,000 on pre-paid transactions through their SBI credit cards.
