Electronic Arts: Electronic Arts’ game subscription service

Electronic Arts has added its game subscription service EA Play, formerly known as EA Access, to Valve’s Steam platform. With EA Play, subscribers would get 10% discount on any game purchased through the service, full access to the EA games library from the “Vault” and a 10-hour gameplay trial for select new EA games.
The subscription costs Rs 315 per month, payable monthly. The yearly subscription is heavily discounted at 47% off, where you need to make a one-time payment of Rs 1,990 for a year of EA Play.
EA Play is available for PC via Steam or Origin and also on PS4 and Xbox One. It is not available on Mac. As per the description on Steam, “while EA Play is available on multiple platforms your membership is tied to the platform you joined on. If you joined on Steam, your Play List, member discount, and all other benefits will only be available here.”
As mentioned above, members can download and play upcoming EA games for a limited amount of time. Your game progress during that time would be saved and carried over.
The game subscription can be purchased by making payment through credit card, PayPal, or your Steam Wallet, depending on the mode of payment available in a particular country or region.
EA has made this clear on its Steam page that “while EA Play is available on multiple platforms your discount only applies to the platform you joined on. For example, if you joined via Steam, your EA digital purchases here would receive a 10% discount. If you joined on Xbox One, your EA digital purchases on Xbox would receive the 10% discount.”
