Taiwanese smartphone brand Asus is reportedly working on the successor to Asus Zenfone 6 series phones. An Asus phone with codename Asus ZF has allegedly appeared on benchmark listing website Geekbench. Reports suggest that this could be the Asus Zenfone 7 or 7Z.
As per the listing, the yet to be launched device could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC octa-core processor. The handset may run on an Android 10 based operating system. The listing suggests that the Asus Zenfone 7 may boast of 16GB of RAM. The alleged smartphone scored 973 in the single-core test and 3346 in the multi-core test.
As mentioned earlier, Asus Zenfone 7 will succeed Asus 6Z. The key feature of the 6Z phone is its flip camera. The handset runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with Adreno 640 GPU and 5000mAh battery
Recently, it was reported that the company is gearing up to launch ROG Phone III and Zenfone 7. The two phones are expected to be unveiled at some time near the later part of the second quarter. While the Zenfone 7 is expected to be a well-rounded flagship, the ROG Phone III may set a new standard for gaming smartphones, just like the ROG Phone II. It was the first smartphone to launch with Snapdragon 855+ SoC in India. The phone recently received Wi-Fi certification, suggesting that the third gaming phone by the company is on its way for launch.
